4summers Charity Art Auction Supported Visual Snow Research

Home >

Scott Summers helped raise funds for the Visual Snow Initiative (VSI) by hosting and organizing the first 4summers Charity Art Auction in Los Angeles. The event showcased 14 one-of-a-kind sunglasses redesigned by local artists as wearable art. Guests enjoyed food and drinks while Scott’s EP, ONE SMR—written about his experience with Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS)—played throughout the evening. By the close of the live auction, two pairs of sunglasses had sold and $325.94 was raised for VSS research.

What Inspired Scott?

Scott was diagnosed with Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS) and wanted to create something that raises awareness, builds community, and supports VSS research.

“Six years ago, my vision changed. I saw static everywhere. Doctors said I was fine, but I knew I wasn’t. Finding a diagnosis—Visual Snow Syndrome—gave me clarity about what I was facing. I created 4summers to raise awareness and make a difference for people like me.”

What’s Next

4summers plans to continue fundraising by listing the remaining one-of-a-kind sunglasses online. Proceeds benefit Visual Snow Syndrome research through VSI, with buyer perks and discounts to follow.
